Red sauce Wings on rice
To prepare the rice:
1 cup rice (we used pre-cooked rice);
1 teaspoon of olive oil;
1 teaspoon of salt.
For the sauce:
2 teaspoons of mustard;
2 teaspoons brown sugar;
1 tablespoon paprika;
2 teaspoons soy sauce;
2 tablespoons olive oil;
4-5 cloves of garlic;
1 cup tomato juice;
1 cup water.
For the wings:
1 lbs chicken wings;
1/2 cup butter;
1 red bell pepper;
1 red onion.
Step 1: Boil the rice in 0.5 gallons of water, add salt and a teaspoon of olive oil.
Step 2: In a bowl, put all the ingredients for the sauce and mix with a whisk until the sugar melts.
Step 3: Place a large frying pan on fire, pour in the oil and add the butter.
Step 4: When the oil has warmed up and the butter has melted, place the chicken wings.
Step 5: Turn the wings from time to time to fry evenly.
Step 6: When the wings are browned, put the onion and red pepper in the pan (cut as you prefer – coarser or finer).
Step 7: Let it cook for 4-5 minutes.
Step 8: Pour over the wings half of the prepared sauce and leave it on fire, stirring from time to time, turning the wings on all sides.
Step 9: When the sauce has reduced , pour in the rest of the prepared sauce.
Step 10: Leave it on for another 5-10 minutes.
Step 11: Place the rice on a plate and then the wings on the entire surface of the rice.
Step 12: Pour the sauce and cooked vegetables into the pan over the bed of rice and wings.
Step 13: Sprinkle with chopped green parsley.
